POP3, SMTP, IMAP information on how to configure an email client for your email accounts



Creating Email accounts:
You can create as many email accounts as you need in the 'Email accounts' icon email accounts of your webhosting control panel.

How do I access my Email?

To access your e-mail from the web interface (WebMail) allowing you to use any computer:

https://mail.yourdomain.co.nz/webmail/ (replace 'yourdomainname.co.nz' with your actual domain name),
will go directly to WebMail without going into the control panel.
(Note, email accounts that you have created in your control panel it is necessary to log in with the full email address as the username.)

Settings to configure a third party email client:

You can use the 'auto configure' function next to the account in the email accounts icon of your hosting control panel, or to manually configure:

POP3 Account:
 
Incoming server POP3: mail.'yourdomainname' (replace 'yourdomainname with your actual domain name.)
Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.'yourdomain.com' (replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name.)
Username: (if you are setting up an email account that you have created in your hosting control panel, the username will be the entire email address.)
Password: The one you gave the email account when you created it in your control panel.
POP3 port: 995
SMTP port: 465
SSL ticked: Yes

Outgoing server requires verification should be ticked, with the same username and password as entered for the incoming server.

Your email client should be configured to check for emails every 2 or more minutes, if it is set to constantly check it will result in getting your connection blocked by the server.

IMAP Account:

Incoming server: mail.'yourdomainname' (replace 'yourdomainname with your actual domain name.)
Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.'yourdomain.com' (replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name.)
Username: (if you are setting up an email account that you have created in your hosting control panel, the username will be the entire email address.)
Password: The one you gave the email account when you created it in your control panel.
Incoming server port: 993
Outgoing server port: 465
SSL ticked: Yes
